“Beautiful villa in stunning village location” - Steve C
“Beautiful villa in stunning village location” Reviewed 12 July 2016 for a stay in May 2016
We travelled with our son and his family - the villa was perfect for our needs. It was a beautifully presented property, with lovely garden and pool overlooking the sea. There were plenty of areas inside and outside to relax, plus a very effective barbecue. Truly excellent location - very well placed for the beaches at Phalasarna, and quite easy to get to Balos and Elafonissi too. Kaliviani village was great - normally a villa of this size is out on its own, but we were part of the local scene. The mini-market in particular was a boon, and run by such a friendly couple. The villa owner, Fotini, made great efforts to welcome and look after us, particularly when fixing a problem we had on a Sunday night.

We had a relaxing and wonderful holiday in Villa Arhontariki. We want to thank for trustful and excellent service. The location was very good and there were lots of interesting places to visit nearby. House was very beautiful and nice and we especially liked that cleaning of the house was included to the price. In house and yard we had our own space and peace. Yard and swimming pool was also very nice and suitable for little children. Terrace was a nice place for having dinner and if you didn't want to make dinner you could always go to the Taverna next to the house and have a lovely and tasteful dinner there. Lots of good memories and looking forward to visit this house again. Thank you Fotini, John and Nicky!

It was perfect. We were a party of 10 ,our two daughters with their kids, age three to eighteen, and every one of us (including the two little ones) enjoyed it tremendously. The beautiful decor on each and every room ,and most of all the beautiful backyard with the swimming pool,no doubt we and the kids had fun.
The owner Fotini tried in every way to fulfill every one of our request.
10 “Magnificient fully equipped and beautifully furnished Villa in a wonderful location.” - Karamjit Nigeria
What a magnificent stay we had. We were a family of 7 and were there for 4 nights. We couldn't have asked for more. The villa is immaculately maintained with all facilities one could think of. Marvelous private pool with barbeque. On top of it our hostess Foutini was so helpful and caring. Very strongly recommended. Will definitely come back again.
10 “Amazing place to stay!” -
Everything is perfect! The only thing I can think of is the Wi-fi could be better, but you should get off of your computer anyways and go to the beach!
Great location! Right next door to one of the top rated restaurants in Chania, 15 minutes from Falasarna, and an hour from Elafonissi, 2 of the best beaches in Greece. Great view, great game room, amazing pool, everything you need! The owners are also fantastic and helpful.

“The best holiday ever” Reviewed 17 February 2016 for a stay in August 2015
We had the most amazing time here, our best holiday ever. It was such a fantastic place for us all to share. We loved that it is in the middle of a traditional village, with a great restaurant and cafe nearby, beautiful beaches within reach, but has all the modern luxuries. The swimming pool kept everybody happy all week, we had to force ourselves to leave the villa and explore Crete. Fotini, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. We would love to go back.
10 “Close to perfection” - Tor Norway
If you are a person that likes shops, cafes and city life, I guess this is not the villa for you. It is located in rural surroundings, but indeed it has some really nice restaurants very close. In fact, there is a cool bar (almost tiki-style) as well, located in one of these restaurants. A car may come in handy, and the landlord made sure to stress this point, but for the few times we need to get around, the local restaurants were very helpful in calling a taxi for us. This way we could grab a beer while waiting.
눇The hospitality we were shown by Fotini, the landlord, was impressive. One of our kids had her birthday during our stay, and when Fotini learned about this, she showed up with presents, not only for the girl we were celebrating, but for the two other kids as well. Whenever we were in any doubt of the running of things at the villa, she was very hands on and replied quickly. When we found out that the spa pool was not working 100%, we had a "man" there in hours to fix the problem.

Wonderful house, every facility one can dream of, great location, excellent Tavernas wright next, and above all – the amazing owner, Ms. Fotini.
10 “Unforgettable getaway” - Guilda Lebanon
Its not that we didnt like, but i think its something people should know, the house is 40 minutes away from the town, in a small village so its barely impossible not to rent a car!
Everything, the house is so beautiful, very clean, super comfortable at a point that going out from the house was a difficult thing! The owner is simply wonderful, very generous, caring, she helped us with everything and made our trip very easy! She helped us renting cars, brought gifts to all of us and surprised us with tons of deserts! The location of the house is very strategic, its very tranquil and at the same moment near of chania, you can get to the town in 40 minutes. It is also surrounded but heavenly made tavernas. We will never forget this house and we are sure coming back! In a few months for sure

The rooms the furniture the facilities everything it's just perfect! The garden and the pool is like a dream. We are very pleased with our stray and our children also! The villa is located close to some amazing beaches and it's very close to traditional taverns with great local food! I recommend this villa to anyone who wants to have amazing time! Me and my family will definitely visit the next summer!

9.2 “Great starting point for exploration of West-Crete” - Sven Norway
The only negative thing during our stay was that it could be quite a lot of traffic in the narrow street in front of the house, but it was not a big deal.
The owners, Fotini and John, made us feel very welcome. The villa is a great place to stay, and its location makes it a good choice if you have a car and want to explore west Crete. Good restaurant next door. Nice garden with your own swimmingpool.

"Large nice house in authentic village in West Crete"
We were eight people from two families lived together in this fine house in late October. The house is large and cozy furnishings. Nice balconies and terrace. The garden with pool was not transparent and had good sun loungers. The pool was clean and crisp, but not heated, which was a bit cold in late October when we were there.
The house is large and airy, there are five bedrooms with a total of ten beds with a bit of varying width (a little too hard in our taste). One of the bedrooms is in the basement along with the house's activity center, which is accessed from the garden.
Three of the other bedrooms in the house yesterday to close off the doors while the fifth is open aspect towards the stairs up. The kitchen was well equipped with coffee maker, stove, oven, microwave, etc. (Missing, however, ordinary table knives.) The house is located in an authentic village close to a nice restaurant with very good food, restaurant Grambousa. Animals such as cats, dogs, chickens, donkeys, sheep, goats and horses are near the house. You need to have a car to transport from the village to other places. Approximately 20 minutes drive to one of the best beaches in Crete (Falasarna) while the beach closest to the house (10 minute walk) was untidy.

Villa Archontariki is located very close to Balos(one of the best beaches in Chania), the villa is just perfect, rooms are bigs, confortables and very cleans, the pool and the garden is perfect (even more beutiful than in the pictures semm) and the owner Fotini made our stay in Chania easier and made us feel as we were at our home.
Also the villa is next to one of the best tavernas of the island. I will come back to Chania and for sure i will go to Villa Archontariki again.

"Havre de paix au Nord-Est de la Crête"
Le coté pitoresque de cette maison de village dans un petit village typique. Le calme car le village est distant de la route principale. L'ampleur de la maison, la qualité de la prestation, et la piscine très agréable. L'emplacement car il permet de rayonner sur la toute la partie Nord-Est de l'ile très facilement. Enfin, l'accueil des propriétaires qui nous ont rendu visite malgré un cours séjour.

The villa was very nice and compact; the garden was pretty, pool was good and was cleaned regularly, the house was nicely furnished, the game/gym room was regularly used by our children. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. There were local olive oil, raki, local wine, cookies/cake as compliments by house.
And we even got nice gifts when we left! Thanks, Fotini! The house was cleaned every second day. The cleaning lady was really nice and brought us home-made spinach pastry which was really yummy! The was an amazing restaurant called “Gramvousa” just few steps away from the house. We ate there several times during the week and enjoyed delicious local dishes with very reasonable price.
The scenery and surroundings were great and service was friendly. There was also a relatively good beach for snorkeling nearby (along the road to Balos). All in all, we were extremely happy with our holiday and Villa Arhontariki!

“A perfect holiday destination for young and old alike” for a stay in August 2013
We booked the villa to celebrate a few significant birthdays in our family. Nine of us stayed at the villa including two young children. Before arrival we had doubted whether the online photographs were an accurate reflection. We needn't have worried. If anything they didn't do it justice.
The villa was spotlessly clean and well equipped. It was kept clean throughout our stay by Maria who came daily to replenish linen, clean and water the lush lawns.
The pool was a good size with a jacuzzi at one end which doubled as a pool for our 4 year old as the main pool was 2m deep throughout.
The village was small but there were two excellent tavernas, one next door but one and one opposite. Local dishes were served at reasonable prices. There were no shops in the village but the town of Kissamos was 5km away where there were shops and more bars and restaurants. the villa was
well placed for a restful holiday and the area was very uncommercialised. However, in 30 minutes you could be in the bustling town of Chania.
We had a fantastic holiday. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. They left a fridge full of delicious fruit, and their own Raki, wine and olive oil, with a promise to replenish the oil should we run out. Altogether an unforgettable family holiday.

There are plenty of lovely beaches nearby and a taverna next door that delivered us traditional Cretan food.
I would recommend this villa to families and groups of friends.

We have been for a week last August and it was one of the best vacation we have enjoyed from. The house is beautiful and you can feel someone thought about every little detail to make you comfortable. The cleaning lady comes every day! which is a real treat.. The house next door is an excellent tavern so whenever we did not feel like cooking, wonderful food was 1 minute walking away, Falacarna beach which is simple & beautiful is 20 minutes drive and is worth the effort, the terrace of the house when we usually had dinner is beautiful & comfortable and i could go on forever..indeed it was a perfect holiday...
